Well, that was breathtaking. The record for the Hans Erickson family emigrating has mother Kirsti birth 06 Oct 1814 (if I read that right).

On the link below, this seems to be a memorial to Kirsti on Find a Grave, as "Cassie" Erickson born 06 October 1814 in Norway, buried with spouse Hans Erickson at Old Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, Lafayette, Wisconsin:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=74732891

Find a Grave memorial for Christian Erickson says he's born 03 Nov 1844, which again agrees with the emigration record in Norway. Includes a relatively lengthy bio of Christian, including that the family settled in Argyle.

Find a Grave memorial for brother Iver (Ever) Erickson includes 1919 obit stating brothers Ole and Christian lived at that time in Inwood, Lyon, Iowa.

Ole Erickson memorial on Find a Grave gives his date of birth as 27 Oct 1846, which matches the Norway emigration record and the 1900 census in Argyle. Date of death given as 13 Feb 1923 at Rocky Rapids, Lyon, Iowa.

Ole (Olis) parents were married April 30 1844, see #11.
Oles father was then a widower.
Oles mother Kjersti Olsdatter was born Oct 6 1814, see 3rd record on left page. Her parents were Ole Guldbrandsen and Marthe Jacobsdatter.
Oles father Hans Erichsen was baptized March 13 1808, see bottom record left page.
His parents were Erich Hansen and Berthe Johnsdatter.

At wisconsinhistory.org website, a record for marriage of
a groom Ole Erickson 01 January 1873 Lafayette county, Wisconsin
a bride Anne Johnson 01 January 1873 Lafayette county, Wisconsin

These show up as individuals, separately. Copy of the original can be ordered.

Below, link to Ole Erickson obit. What an interesting person! Obit says he moved to Inwood, Iowa in 1900. The obit perfectly matches the Norwegian birth record and Norwegian record of emigration Einar posted.

In this message board post, the creator of the Find a Grave memorials says she is a great-great granddaughter of Ever Erickson:

Buried same cemetery as Oscar M Erickson is Ida J Erickson (1881-1969).

In your opening post, you wrote that Oscar's mother was Ida. What is your source for that? His death record, which you posted, calls her Anna Johnson, and census records call her Anna. Oscar had a sister Ida, and according to his death record, also had a wife Ida.

1910 US census in Stephenson county, Illinois Oscar and Ida have a daughter Annabelle Erickson born about 1905. (Ida maiden name was Manus according to obit for daughter Annabel, Mrs. Burnett Bignall - 06 Aug 1975 Freeport Journal)

Iowa Genweb Gravestone Photo project, a contributor added info to gravestone of Christian Erickson b 03 Nov 1844 burial Richland Cemetery, Lyon county, Iowa. Christian was Oscar's uncle. Contact info for the contributor is included:

I was incorrect, Ida was Oscar's wife and Anna, his mother.

Manus is correct for Ida's maiden name, I do know that.

My grandmother is Annabelle's younger sister Dorothy, born 1910.

This is amazing to have the information on the Erickson's into Norway as we didn't have the background prior to 1849!!!!

Glad it helps! It's fun to know Oscar was surrounded by aunts and uncles and cousins.

Do you have any information on Oscar's Mom, Anna Johnson? 1900 census in Argyle says she was born August 1855 in Norway and immigrated to USA in 1866. So, about age 11 - she must have come with adults, likely her parents.

I posted a way to order a copy of Ole Erickson and Anna Johnson marriage record in Lafayette county, 01 Jan 1873. Do you have that? It may tell her parents' names. If you know her death date and place, we might find her death record or obit. Again, these might name her parents or birth place.

Also, I hope you'll return to your Emma Moen thread. More findings are posted.
