| I was wondering where Gunnar came from in Norway and when he emigrated,i have some info that he came from Eastern Norway area and ended up in Washington state,many thanks |

He seems to have been a sailor and so shows up in the Passenger and Crews Lists often. It appears that he did apply for Citizenship.

I noticed that the signature page posted by Jackie was from Gig Hrabor, probably Gig Harbor, Washington I would assume. Thus this could be the Sonja listed earlier in my posting on "did he have a wife?"

Raymond Alf Hammarberg, 70, of Arnold, a retired tugboat captain from the port of Philadelphia, died of cardiac arrest Tuesday at his home.
Born in Jamaica, N.Y., he was raised in Brooklyn and served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
After the war, he worked as a captain on his own tugboat based on the Delaware River at the port of Philadelphia. He retired about five years ago and took up the hobby of model boat building.
Divorced, he is survived by two sisters, Greta Torjussen of Arnold and Ethel Horgen of Gig Harbor, Wash.
Funeral and burial services will be private. Arrangements are by the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

That'd be my guess but it's strictly circumstantial right now since a marriage record for them hasn't been found. |
