I am looking for the birth/baptism of Inger Maria Andersdatter. Her parents were Karen Stenersdatter and Anders Torjerssen.. I think she was baptised on 17 Apr 1785 i Gjerpen, Telemark. I think I found the right church records but can't tell any dates. Hope someone can tell me how to read the dates. Thanks |

i have looked at this page and it looks like the date is 1749. For record #51 I can't pick out the names I am looking for Inger Maria Andersdatter.. Maybe I just can't read the record correctly. |

Michael's Day is Michaelmas, and occurs on September 29th. The confirmation was as said above on the consecutive Sunday. |

Sometimes it is also nice to have the ability to look at a calendar for years ago. Click on the century and then the year. It is very valuable when trying to decipher the dates presented in the old ECCLESIASTICAL HOLIDAYS calendars using Trinititas etc.
