Ålen 1761 confirmation record lists Anders and Peder Pedersen
with farm name Ruse. Have searched but cannot find Ruse listed as a farm name in Ålen. Can someone explain?

Sør-Trøndelag fylke, Haltdalen, Ministerialbok nr. 685A01 (1745-1804), Konfirmerte 1761-1763, side 244.

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=16228&idx_id=16228&uid=ny&idx_side=-256

Thanks,
Gene Nelson

It's probably a spelling issue of some kind. Here's a link to a farm in the 1801 census called Røslochen:

*Rísar f., Flt. af rís n., Ris, Kratskov (Indl. S. 70).

I like this idea better. Looking at the page each stroke of the "u" has a dot. If you look at the top girl in the right hand column her farm has two uu in it and they are marked with a squiggle not a dot. So no "u" but two "i"
