According to information I have found on the Ellis Island site, my grandparents and four of my aunts and uncles were on Majestic I when they returned to America in May of 1899. I have looked at the links below concerning ships and have found that Majestic I was used as a Boer War transport ship in 1899. Did this ship also transport people to America during 1899? Thanks, Mary

Yes, she made about 11 voyages with passengers between Liverpool and New York in 1899, which makes me wonder if the 1899 Boer war transport may be an error. I have corrected the record.
