Hello,
This is my first post. Thanks for providing this service.
I am in a "Dobte" record which I understand to be baptism.
The field "Den opgivne Fødsels Datum" has a date of 30 June 1857, but the field next to it "Daabs-Datam" has what appears to be abbreviation or initials "J.D." Any idea what this might mean?

Entry number 109.

Thanks in advance.

S.D. = same day, the Norwegian words start with the same letters... just like listing ditto in that column.

Okay great, I suspected it may be the case but wasn't sure if they would baptize the same day the child was born... Thanks for clarifying.

S.D. means samme dag or same day or ditto, so the baptismal date is the same as entry above, etc. until you arrive at the one with the actual date which in this case means a baptismal date of 11 Oct.
