Hello. You GREATLY helped me a few years ago when I was researching my husband's great great grandparents (and others). Thank you for that.

Well...I am back into researching again. My husband and I will be visiting Norway at the end of August so I was going to try to find more information.

First question. I need a refresher on where to find information. I want to find the father and mother of Tosten Pedersen Braaten born Nov. 16, 1812 in Asnes.
Also, the father and mother of Lisabet Torrisdatter Knappum born 4 Sept 1819 in Asnes. Tosten and Lisabet were married 3 Sept 1843.

With that much information you should find everything you're looking for here:

Select county=Hedmark

For the years your're researching, you should look under Hof parish. It wasn't until later that Åsnes became it's own parish.

Thanks for your reply. That is what I needed. I did find the marriage of Tosten and Lisabet but I do not know what the column headings in the marriage book say. Can you help with that?
