I am looking for more information on Nils (Nels?) Klever. The only information I have is:
NAME: Nels Klever
SPOUSE: Bertha Klever
BIRTH: abt 1871 - Norway
RESIDENCE: 1935 - Chanhassen, Carver, Minnesota
RESIDENCE: Chanhassen, Carver, Minnesota
The information from family is he has some relationship to my Great Uncle Herman Johnson (Herman Johansen). I am trying to find out if he is a relative or a family friend as he shows up in many old family photo's.

Your previous posting you claim ancestry connection to the "Klevjer farm". In the thread that Norwegian farm is located in Sande, Vestfold, Norway.

See the 1875 Census for the persons then living on that farm -

This is copied from the photo sharing site Flickr about Nels Klever:

Larry Johnson (poster on Flickr)

"Uncle Nels Klever

Uncle Nels Klever, as my father knew him, was actually identified as my Great Grandmothers brother, Nels Andersen who lived on the Klevjer Farm near Sande Vestfold Norway. When he imigrated to the US through Ellis Island, Klevjer became his surname. Nels moved to Minnesota to live near his two nephews, Herman A. Johnson (my grandfather) and Andrew Johnsen (grandfather's younger brother)."

Einar, I know you are well aware that the people born in 1868 and 1871 can not be found in the 1865 census.

I think you meant 1875

This looks like the family in the 1865 Census with Anne Elizabeth given the name Lise Gregersen.

http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01038110002469

In the baptism record for Niels born in 1864 her name is written as Anne Elizabeth Nils Klevjer. See number 42

http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=8130&idx_id=8130&uid=ny&idx_side=-8

Looks as if the first Niels died in 1865 See number 22
