I have a question that I hope someone here knows the answer to. I can see that many of those who emigrated to America traveled from Norway to Hull or Quebec. How did they get from Hull or Qubec to Montana or Minnesota? Anybody know anything about how they travelled there?

Jan Peter (jwiborg) has done a great job of showing how the immigrants traveled within America. Here are some or the topics in which he has posted informaton or links. . Perhaps he will also add to this.

Jan Peter also posted a link to this article which has a good section on travel from Quebec to states within the US. The section is near the bottom of the first page.
