...in Verdal in North Trøndelag. His confirmation took place October 9, 1870 the same place. His parents were Elling Olson and Anne Sevaldsdaughter. He left to Jämtland in Sweden the autumn 1872. and he left for North America May 3, 1882. Is it possible to find this?

A little hard to read the entry, but the fathers name looks to me like Elling Sevaldsen. And mother Ingeborg Larsdatter. Am I looking at the wrong entry. See last entry

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20050509020039

Also here in the 1865 Census.

Looking at the original manifest for this person, I would say that the name of the person could be Martinius Ellingsen.but it is difficult to read. He is listed as a laborer and from Sweden.

The only thing I am a bit uncertain about, is the last answer. All the others are absolutely correct!

I have not found Martin Ellingson after the 1895 Wisconsin Census. The closest I have found is Martin Evenson, also spelled Evanson. Married in 1902 to Pauline Andersen in Duluth, Minnesota. I find both of them in the 1905 Wisconsin Census.

I had dismissed this Martin Ellingson earlier in the search since he seemed to be the son of Aage Ellingson. The family lived in Wisconsin and then moved to Nebraska. Here they are in 1870.

Martin Ellingson
in the 1870 United States Federal Census
Name: Martin Ellingson
Age in 1870: 18
Birth Year: abt 1852
Birthplace: Norway
Home in 1870: Boscobel (Corporation), Grant, Wisconsin
Race: White
Gender: Male
Post Office: Boscobel
Value of real estate: View image
Household Members:
Name Age
A Ellingson 46
Lena Ellingson 38
Peter Ellingson 23
Tena Ellingson 21
Martin Ellingson 18
Ameal Ellingson 16
Adolph Ellingson 12
Henry Ellingson 8
Hedolph Ellingson 3
Oscar Ellingson 1

Some info on Aage

Aage Ellingson
in the Web: Nebraska, Find A Grave Index, 1854-2012
Name: Aage Ellingson
Birth Date: 27 Oct 1823
Age at Death: 68
Death Date: 13 Nov 1891
Burial Place: Custer County, Nebraska, USA

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=EL&GSpartial=1&GSbyrel=all&GSst=31&GScntry=4&GSsr=1241&GRid=55192293&

Probably baptism for Aage

Aage Ellingsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Aage Ellingsen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 27 okt 1823 (27 Oct 1823)
Baptism Date: 7 des 1823 (7 Dec 1823)
Baptism Place: , Lier, Buskerud, Norway
Father: Elling Johnsen
Mother: Mallene Torgersdr
FHL Film Number: 124018

And my best guess for Martin Ellingsen son of Aage Ellingsen.

Nicolay Martinius Aagesen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Nicolas Martinius Ellingsen
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 26 des 1854 (26 Dec 1854)
Baptism Place: Hurum, Buskerud, Norway
Father: Aage Ellingsen
Mother: Larine Nilsdr
FHL Film Number: 278196

Anne you need to tell us who exactly you ar looking for. This is the family I have been looking for found in the 1865 Norwegian Census. It has brothers Martin and Gustav Ellingsen. Please tell us if we are looking for a different Martin.

http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=1721&kenr=011&bnr=0018&lnr=00

The parents you listed in your first post are found here in 1865 but they do not have a son named Martin

Elling Olsen and Anne Sevaldsdaughter have I mentioned initially as Martinus' parents! He had left in 1865 - that's why he is NOT in the counting With his other Brothers and sisters. I am very sorry I am doing much wrong. I have now checked again what I wrote in my first Message.
