Is there an alternate, or, earlier spelling of the farm name Rønne? I have been told it has been spelled as "Røynne", or, "Røyne"...

*Røyni n., Sted bevoxet med Rognetræer, afledet af *raunn m. eller *raun f., Rogn (Indl. S. 31, Ldsbl. 445). Samme Navn i Hof S. (Bd. III S. 269) og i Faaberg (Bd. IV, 1 S. 215).

Various spelling from district to district. The name means "Rogn" Rowan or Mountain-ash.
