Searching information about Carl Gustav Knudsen Hovde f. Sept. 5 - 1849 in Vinger, Norway. -and any descendants.
He traveled to Chicago in 1868.

A tough one to find. Here is a long shot. Looking at the original record, it is hard to tell what his last name is, but it is not Horn.

I think that there is one man in Fillmore Country. His name in most of the records is Carl C Hourn, spelling varies a little but born about 1848 or so. And as you mention he married in 1876
