| Researching Ole Johannsen and Berta Maria Pedersdatter from the Aasnes, Hof, Hedmark area. Ole was born 1820, Berta in 1812. They had 8 children, Any info would be greatly appreciated! |

Ole Johannesen, Trongaarden and Berthe Maria Pedersdatter, Brenden were married Jan 27 1841, see #6.
Most likely their 1st child, Iver, born Aug 27 1842, see #229,
and their 2nd child, Anne, born Nov 2 1844, see #223,
3rd child, Eberhard, born Jan 1 1847, see #19.
Parish records destroyd in fire for Hanna, born 1849, and Olivia born 1853.

Most likely Ole Johannesens Bapt. record #68.
Parents Johannes Olsen and Anne Hermandsdatter.
Anne Hermandsdatter, her parents and siblings in 1801. |

Berte Maria was baptized Juni 13 1813 see 9th record on left page.
Her parents were Peder Pedersen and Eli Bentsdatter, Brenna. |

Peder Pedersen, Brenna and Eli Bentsdatter, Løfsgaard were married Nov 18 1812, see 5th record on left page.
Eli Bentsdatter, her parents and siblings in 1801. |

In addition to the three children listed above by eibache it would appear that they had a daughter March 5, 1841 named Pernille.

Thank you so much! I have records of a daughter, Pernille, born Aug 12, 1840, married Peder Olsen Braaten 1865, emigrated 1870? Iver married Maren Torrisdatter in 1868, no census or death dates found, maybe they emigrated too? Eberhard not in 1865 census, I think he emigrated around 1871, would there be any other records where he was? Anne married Bernt Bergerson Floberg, 1868, emigrated 1874, any census, emigration records or birth records of children? Again, thank you so much!

Where does the birth date of Aug 12, 1840 come from. I did not see any Pernille born to Ole and Berthe in the parish records for Hof for August 1840. Only one I found was the record for Pernille born in 1841 posted above.
Here are Peder Olsen and Pernille Olsdatter on the Braaten farm in the 1865 Census

| Yes, that is the one, I do have research done near Hawley, MN area, but not the Norway side due to language barrier. Any suggestions of where the “Holm” came from? It can be quite confusing trying to find your family. |

| Holm might be a shortened form of Holmen which is a farm name that appears in at least 2 of the children's baptisms. Anne and Eberhard, in the list of godparents. |
