The Vang/Furnes Church book shows marriage of my Maternal Great Grandparents marriage 1871-05-13.
Mikel Andersen Residence Tvedtronnongen
Johanne Johnsdtr residence Ronningen
I believe the Tvet (Tvedt) farm and Ronningen farms are not far apart, can someone explain Tvedtronningen to me.

Tvedtronningen is not far from the Myhr Farm i previously showed you. I believe the location is at the X on the map below.
I believe the small farm Rønningen has also been called or spelled Rydningen?

The reason its named Tvedtrønningen is to specify that its the smallholding Rønningen under Tvedt.
There are several smallholdings named Rønningen in the area, like under main farms Jesnes, Gaalaas and Lundberg.
So the prefix Tvedt is added to separate this Rønningen from Jesnes-Rønningen, Gaalaas-Rønningen etc...

Thank you for your reply, it looks like both sets of my great grandparents lived very close to each other.

The distance in the air between Myhr and Rønningen is about 1200 meters.
