Can someone please translate a video for me or tell me the name of the song? Its a song that someone posted on youtube a few yrs ago under the title Beautiful Norwegian Christian Song at Oddernes Kirke. I don't think the person posting it spoke norwegian either. Jwiborg, I'm confused about this translation. On the first line of verse 1 it translates God, raise my mind. But if I were to take God, out of it and translate it it would translate to "wake up my interior" or "wake up in my heart". Why is it so different without the word God in it? I want to learn to sing and play this on guitar but the lyric God, raise my mind doesnt go well with the melody. Could I say God, wake up what's inside me instead? Or would that be too different of a translation? Also is there different english translations for the same thing?

Hi Michelle,
your translation "God, wake up what's inside me", is actually very good.
"Gud, vekk opp mitt indre" direcly translate to "God, wake up my inner"
The reason I wrote "God, raise my mind" is because that's what google suggested, and basically it means the same thing... |
