I refer to an entry in the church book of births/baptisms for Meland parish, Hordaland: recording the birth on 5 May 1921 of Johannes Malvin Fosse. Occupation of his father Johannes Olsen (Fosse) is abbreviated as "skomgbrk", if I read it correctly. Can someone help with the "skom" part? Google Translate does not recognize.

Skom is a short for skomaker - shoemaker
