In the Trondheim newspaper there is a death announcement for one called Lars Olsen Kulstad published 5 November 1833, page 1 col 2, Adressecontoir. He was a skibstømmermand and died while on a voyage with Captain Waring. He fell overboard at Genoa on 14 Sept 1833, was aged 41 years, had been married 18 years, was the father of 7 children of whom 5 survive with the widow Anne sal Kulstad, at Bakklandet dated 4 Nov 1833.

Well this father of Johan might fit. Time frame , name , location and wife's first name

Christening Place: Trondheim, Sor-Trondelag, Norway
Father: Lars Olsen Kulstad
Mother: Anne Johannesdr

Lars Olsen Kulstad also had a son born about 1818 to 1820 who married in 1840.
