Ok play around with Geni.com for awhile. I did not find your test number yet. But I need to run some errands for a few hours. So I will check Norway Heritage again at about 3 PM. Good luck or in Norwegian , Lykke til.

Your DNA haplogroup is rather interesting. It appears in about 1% in Norway.

My complete numbers is G2a3b1a2a. Do you only use Geni? I am trying to connect the relationship between either my 2nd Great Grandfather Christian (Chris) Danielsen (Danilson) or his wife Albertine Bronson Amundsen to Elling Gundersson Eidsvik. Are there other databases you (or someone) can help?

Do you not have a profile on Geni.com. If you do Geni.com should show you a path from Elling Gundersson Eidsvik to you. You can also go up in the right hand corner of the profile for Elling on Geni.com and click on the Action button and then on the Descendants button and see and list of descendants of Elling.

The other way is to build your tree further back in time until you come to a common ancestor to someone in the Elling tree.

Yes, I have a profile with Geni. How do I get the tool to create a path from Eidsvik to me? I have "basic" plan. I supposed the feature you explain cost extra.

No the basic plan will do just fine. When you are on the profile of Eidsvik you should see at the top of the page a Relationship Path. That should automatically show a path from Eidsvik to your profile. The problem I see when I look at the descendants of Eidsvik is that the vast majority of them are located in Møre og Romsdale and none of your ancestors seem to have any relationship with Møre og Romsdal.

When I am on the Eidsvik profile I see this sentence

"Elling Gundersson Eidsvik is your 6th cousin 12 times removed's second cousin once removed's husband."

And the path that Geni took to get from Eidsvik profile to my profile.
