lyndal40 Wow! Your ability to find these records, and to do it so quickly, is amazing! I never thought that the children would be listed with last name of Olsen so that is quite a surprise. It appears that Johan Nilsen, husband of Seborg, must already be in America and had emigrated earlier. My gratitude goes beyond just saying Thank You, I hope you know that.

Probably true. But I have not been able to find a John Nilsen leaving Trondheim, Norway in the 1888 to 1892 time frame that fits your John Nilsen.

lyndal40 Thank you for your efforts in trying to find Johan Nilsen! Some people just seem to fall through the cracks. FYI, he died not long after the family had arrived in America, probably about 1893. He was ran over and killed by a train. Seborg remarried in 1898.
