Alright, well I personally think that this has not been approached in all avenues possible, considering that the Family Search Profiles of the Family have not been touched at all. I created a Working Family Tree in Ancestry as well, which will include all documents that I find and a link to the FamilySearch Profiles.
You also mentioned Olia Larsdatter Vager among the faddernes of the baptism of Ole's children. On Follum in the 1801 census, there Is a Olia Larsdatter (27) and Ole Larsen (18). In a residence below that is a Lars Larsen (40). I thought that was an odd coincidence. https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/58270/23
Is Sønderengen the last known confirmed Residence for Ole in 1814 on the Marriage, or is there something earlier?
I also thought that the only entry that we may find before Ole's and Mari's marriage would be a confirmation entry of Ole perhaps? I wrote the ones from Nr. 6 & 7 down.
____________________ Calculations: 2) Lars Larsen (60) 8 Jun 1816 (would have been born 1756) 4) Ole Larsen (80) 23 Mar 1829 (would have been born 1749) 5) Ole Larsen (67) 04 May 1831 (would have been born 1764) 6) Lars Larsen (83) 10 Sep 1835 (would have been born 1752)
Jackie, I cannot find your reasoning as to why exactly you gave up on Candidate 1) above Ole Larsen Wegsteen (1777).
In my opinion, the candidate matches: a) Lars Larsen Sønderengen's estimated birth of 1752-1756 b) is not too distant from Mari Jonsdatter's estimated birth of 1795 c) is not too distant from the 67-year old Ole Larsen
Given, that there are absolutely no records of Ole Larsen's age in any of his children's entries or his marriage, plus that he was not listed with Lars Larsen on the 1801 FT, he may simply didn't know his own age?
Given the research, I can totally see him being the firstborn of Lars Larsen and Johanne Johanne Haralsdatter. Why? d) If he was the firstborn, this would explain why he is mentioned in Lars Larsen Probate? e) Wagsteen (Vegstein) and Tandberg (Tanberg) is right next to Sønderengen f) Ole named his first child Johanne? g) If Lars bought half of Sundby in 1810, then the above Ole Larsen wouldn't have carried that name before and this one doesn't but would do so after, as he does in the Marriage entry.
Call me crazy or a good storyteller, but this makes all sense to me and was found by y'all in your previous posts
Over time, if the original hypothesis is overwhelmingly supported by the greater scientific community, and if no experiments have proven it wrong, it becomes a theory. It's important to keep in mind that a theory is the best explanation of a phenomenon using the data that is currently available.

Yes but I'm always looking to perfect my information.
If for instance the death in Oslo is my Ole Larsen and the age given for him is correct, he would have been born about 1785. Three of Ole's boys went to Oslo to make their fortunes, rather than staying in Norderhov being dirt farmers, maybe they were following in their father's footsteps?
I have a totally different purpose than you. For me the joy of being there is getting there.

And that's why you are the best at what you are doing
