It has been a few years since I’ve revisited this wonderful website. Everyone was very helpful back when I was starting my research of my Norwegian ancestors. I’ve had many dead ends along the way, but eventually found all my direct ancestors who came to America except for one, and she is the subject of my request for help. [https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/8323/126] If this link that I have posted works, this is her birth record. The only evidence of her that I have found in the United States is a mention of her in a biography of her brother John J Larson circa 1900 Bellingham Washington. —-John J. Larson, a prominent and successful business citizen of Whatcom, owning and operating the finest livery line in this city, was born in Voss, Norway, January 27, 1864. He is the son of Lars and Ingeborg (Maringa) Larson, the former of whom was born in 1817 and is a resident of Graue, Norway, where he was engaged in farming and logging. The mother is also a native and resident of Norway. Our subject has three brothers and two half-brothers, two half-sisters and two sisters: Anders, aged fifty-four years; Lars, aged fifty-two years; Neils, aged forty-three years; William B., of Whatcom; Mrs. Anna Helgeson, of Britt, Iowa; Bertha, of Wisconsin; Mrs. Sarah Larkin, of Chicago; and Mrs. Belle Olson, of Seattle.—- This is a link [https://www.geni.com/people/Cesilia-Sarah-Larkin/6000000019940227024?through=6000000019940051541] to her profile on geni.com She may have ended up in Woodstock Illinois at some point, but I am not sure. The only women named Sarah Larkin that I have found in any US census are from Ireland. It might be possible that there was a misspelling in the biography, and her name was still Larson, any help would be appreciated |

Thank you Torel Looks like she emigrated earlier than I thought. I will begin to search the 1880 census of the United States to see if I can find her. Barbro may be a relative? |

Here is the baptism that is found on the Tree. She may have used her father's last name of Ericksen in Minnesota?

Barbro (Barbara) married in 1881 so finding her in 1880 might be useful.

I don't know who Barbro was, but it looks like they were travelling together. Might be easier to find them again, with two names to look for. (Edit: This was written before I saw Anton's posts above. Looks like you are alteady on the case...) |

Thank you both for the Barbro Graue ancestry link Looks like this is the correct travel partner for Cesillia Larsdatter. I will check but it seems that they split up because the biography places Cecilia in Chicago in 1900 as Sarah Larkin
—-EDIT—-It turns out that there is no close relation, other than Barbro and Cesillia being fourth cousins like most Voss farmers
