If his birth year is 1883, then this is his declaration of intention to become a US, filed in King County, Washington in 1910:
"Washington, County Naturalization Records, 1850-1982", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:873L-TVT2 : Tue Dec 03 17:17:08 UTC 2024), Entry for Johan Ingvarius Winje, 10 Feb 1910.

Johan died in 1939 in Seattle. He was married to Henrikke Rovick and they had at least 2 or 3 children.

"Washington, Deaths and Burials, 1810-1960", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:HVFC-YT3Z : Sat Mar 09 14:11:28 UTC 2024), Entry for John Winje and John Winje, 3 Apr 1939.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9J3-F3WW?view=index&action=view&cc=3518729

His obituary was published in the Seattle Sunday Times, Sunday 2 April 1939 page 29 col 2:

"Winje, John I. 8148 11st S, March 30. Beloved husband of Henrikke; father of Mrs. E. Janson, Mary, Genevieve and Henry: brother of Henry and Severre, Placerville Calif.; grandfather of Hazel. Services Monday 3 pm at Johnson and Sons. Interment Forest Lawn."

Another obit gives Mary the "G" for a middle name so there may be only the 3 children found in the censuses.

Geni profile. The profle gives the date of birth as Dec 12 1883, but the baptsim record (#3) says Dec 21.

Seems as if the site is a little glitchy today. And notifies me that what I post cannot be displayed but in fact it is displayed.

Anyway Dagfin if you are having trouble reading any descendants of the Winje family you might try subscribing to Ancestry.com as there are many many Family Trees for this family. It will cost you a few dollars or Kroner but could be worth your while.
