I am searching for information on the To (Toe, Thoe) farm. My great, great grandfather, Odd Knute Thoe immigrated from this farm in 1872. I am interested in the present ownership and any descendants in the area. Kathy Sigdestad

Hi,
could it be "Tou" in Stavanger, Rogaland county? Tou is a famous brewery for beer and soft drinks, and was founded in 1855.

Two possible persons lives on this Tou farm in 1865:
Od Berges., sailor, 19 years.
Od Ivers., breweryworker, 21 years.

This looks to be more "interesting":

There are two farms by the name of "Tho", in Voss, Hordaland county, in the 1865-census.

"Od Knutssøn" lives in one of them with his wife and children, among them a 7 year old son also called Od.
