I am wondering if it would be possible to get a copy of the ships log for the SS Parisian during it's voyage from Liverpool, England to Halifax starting date 26 March 1891. My grandmother was on board at that time, an 11 year old girl who was a Britsh Home Child in care of Miss Maria Rye's Orphanage. I am trying to write her life story.

Hello Dawn

I am not able to provide the ships log (I take it you mean passenger list?) for you, but here is some information on how to get them:

All Canadian microfilm reels are available by Inter Library Loan [ILL].

The LDS have copies of the earliest archived records for the ports of Quebec and Halifax only.
Port of Quebec: Film # 0889440 to 0889467 for the years 1865 to 1899
Port of Halifax: Film # 0889429 to 0889439 for the years 1881 to 1899
