Anyone know the approximate distance from Sogndal to Bergen, and what the most likely mode of tranportation would have been in 1870 between the two? Thanks for any help you can offer.

the most likely, if not the only likely(due to very bad infrastructure) mode of transportation would be by boat.
I don't know the distance, but 250 km is not far off.
