I was trying to write up something for my family about the voyage my ggrandfather and his bride took in 1847 on the Bark Albertine. I have seen the passenger list and there is no mention of cabin passengers. I have also seen the wonderful description of the conditions onboard ships on this website which does not mention cabins. Would it be fair to say that the Norwegian Bark Albertine did not have cabins available for passengers....that ALL the emigrants travelled in steerage? My ggrandfather would have been able to afford a cabin...I was just wondering....and I get asked this question too. Thank you!
