I am searching for any information about, or tips about where to get more information about Edvin Palmgren Strøm.
He is supposed to be my great grandfather from Troms, and we think he left from Norway to America in 1906.

So far I have found this:
In the 1900-census in Norway he is listed up in Ibestad in Troms under the name Edvin Palmgren Eriksen, born 1882. I cant find who his parents are.

In Digitalarkivets emigrant lists he is listed up as Edvin Palmgren Eriks. Strøm, born 7. july 1882. The list says he was going with the ship United States 6. of April 1906 from Kristiania/oslo. This ship arrived in New York the 17. of April 1906.

I have done some search after the passengers list for this ship, but cant find it. I have also tried to find any information about him in the Ellis Island Archive and at FamilySearch.com. with no results. It is a bit confusing since he is listed up with three last names, Palmgren, Eriksen, and Strøm. As my grandfather thaugt his last name was Strømmen it is getting even more confusing!

I would be grateful if someone can help!

click on search records...type in Edvin Ericsen, there will be a database that lists 5..Click on Ancestry world tree...the first one being Edvin Palmgren Ericksen...If you click on his name..it will show the person's email addy that put the information up there...this person(if its not you!) has listed all the right information you need..parents etc.
