Dear Jan, Thank you very much for the translation - it looks better in the "story" I'm writing on my ancestors from Vale and Gronsteen Plads. I have all the family accounted for after 13 years of sporadic working on it. That would be Ole Jonson, Vale born 1784 and wife Anne Andersdatter, Brennene daughter of Anders Andersen,Nedre Lunde, & Aaste Kittilsdatter, Noradal.
Ole came to Sugar Creek, Walworth Co, Wisconsin in 1844 with a son and 2 daughters te year following his son John & sister Anne Torine in 1843. I also have names and some dates on the folks from Gronsteen Plads: Ole Tolvson and Karen Andersddatter who came in 1844 wiith 2 daughters Karen Kirstine, Anne andson Niels. Anne was to marry Jon Olson in 1846. These folks are on my mother's side. Father's side were "Yankees" ? (English). Thank you again. Alice
