This must be Anne Brynildsen, who, along with her husband (whose first name is not given) is mentioned in Soren Bache's diary, published under the name _A Chronicle of Old Muskego_ by the Norwegian-American Historical Association in 1951. The editors were Clarence A. Clausen and Andreas Elviken. (See pages 69, 102, 109-110.) Bache says Anne, especially, had become a "true friend who could give much good advice in feminine affairs." He laments that the Brynildsens never felt at home in Wisconsin and decided to return to Norway after only a year.
