1861 | Captain A. M. Andersen from Bergen May 22 to Quebec July 10 | The information listed above is not the complete record of the ship. The information was collected from a multitude of sources, and new information will be added as it emerges |

In 1861 the bark Camilla departed from Bergen on May 25th, and arrived at the quarantine station at Grosse Île on on July 10th. She proceeded to Quebec the same day. The ship sailed in ballast, and was carrying 132 steerage passengers, one passenger had died during the voyage. The newspaper notice below says that she was carrying 124 passengers, but then infants were probably not counted. Master was Capt. A. M. Andersen of Arendal. She had a crew of 13. Because the National Archives of Canada [NAC] did not start the archiving of passenger lists before 1865, and the Norwegian emigration records did not start before 1867, there is no surviving passenger list for this voyage in any of those archives. Timeline to records.
