From the diary of one of the passengers, I have the following info: Departure May 25, Arrival July 9. He was writing severla months later and may have correctly. His diary does go on, day after day through his enlistment in the Civil War. Bresvard Nelson, as I recall. Jim Heg

Erik Bye is a friend of mine.

Hi Jim

In our lists we have the Bark Camilla, Capt. Andersen, departure from Bergen May 22 and arrival to Quebec July 10. This does not mean that the information you found or the one we have isn't both correct i a way. The date we have was when the ship was cleared to depart by the customs, but often the ship waited for several days for favorable wind before actually departing. We will get one date when the passengers boarded the ship, one date for the clearance, and one for sailing. The same thing goes for the arrival dates, we sometimes have one date when the ship arrived the quarantine station, another when arriving the harbor, yet another when inspected by the customs and another when the passengers actually departed the ship. We just have to get all of these pieces together.
