Hi You might try posting your query on the Debate forum at the Digitalarkivet. Finding them in the 1930 census would be the first step and I know some people there have access or they might have suggestions where to look.
Good Luck Carla

I can check census' but would need more information. Where were they from in Norway? When did they immigrate? What were the parents ages? Was Gerd a boy or a girl? Were there any other children? Any information you can provide would be helpful.

Hi Jo Anne,
this query is also ongoing on the Debate Forum at the Digitalarkivet, but no immediate success...

Gerd and Sigrunn are both female names.

Ragnvald Ragnvaldsen emigrated in 1921, at the age of 25. He is listed 3 times in the Ellis Island records that year, beacuse he was a member of the ship Stavangerfjord's crew.

Ragna (family name Bjørnsrud) is listed several times on the same ship in 1923, at the age of 25. She was then a member of the ships crew. I belive this could be here, although her last name is different, and the birthyear is supposedly wrong. But she is going to New York to get married...
Ragna was from the Gjøvik area (county: Oppland), while Ragnvald was from the Lofoten Islands (county: Nordland).

Thanks, Jan, for your help. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate them on the 1930 census, I used all different ways to search. It doesn't mean they are not there, I just couldn't find them. No luck with the Social Security Death Index either.
Maybe a query on the Norway list on Rootsweb might help.

Hi Was the Ragna Eugenie Bjornstad that Jan found leaving Norway in 1923 the correct one. If so she arrived at Ellis Island listed as Eugenie Bjornstad, which may mean she used that 1st name in the US. She lists her father as Olaf Bjornstad, Kristiana and she is going to Friend: Mrs Capt. Einar Bonie in Philadelphia PA. Is there any chance they lived there for a while?
