Looking for information on Anders Thy, later spelling Thye.
Departed Liverpool in June of 1880 arrived in New York July of 1880.

This is probably your man, Anders Johannesen Thy, leaving from Bergen june 17. 1880. He was born in Aurland parish, Sogn og Fjordane fylke.
Here he and his family is at the Thy farm in the 1865 census:

Here is Anders' birth record. It says he went to America in 1883, but that is obviously wrong. This is the same person who left Bergen in 1880.

Anders Thye, can anyone help in getting information on how, if possible, to obtain a copy of the ship's, Algeria, manifest from the NY arrival in July of 1880??

The microfilms for the Passenger Manifest can be rented at a local Family History Center. www.familysearch.org
