My g/grandfather was Hans Borresen and came to live in Townsville Australia in perhaps 1876.
I believe his brother stayed in Fredrickstad, near Oslo.
He was born in 1863. Father Borre Abrahamsen & mother Berthe Olsen.
Looking for any information on Anton or family members or any living family members as well.

He is married to Hilda Mathilde, born May 26 1869 in Kongsberg.
Children:- Arthur Oscar Marensius Børresen, son, born January 30, 1892 (in Oslo)
- Magda Bergitte Børresen, daughter, born January 22, 1894 in Fredriksstad
- Sigurd Bernhard Oliver Børresen, son, born January 25, 1896 in Fredriksstad
- Henry Arnleif Børresen, son, born January 13th, 1899 (in Oslo)

It has helped fill in some gaps to the Borresen family tree.

We are also having trouble finding out how Hans Borresen (my g/grandfather) came to Australia. He is thought to have come to Townsville, Queensland either working on a ship (as he did in Australia later on) or in the navy perhaps in 1877?
He may have left Norway at 17 Years? Hans Louis Borresen was born In Fredrikstad on 29/10/1860. His parents were Borre Abrahamsen B:1822 at Borge& Berthe Marie Olsdatter.
