Hi,
do you know where they lived?
There are not many public registers of people dead in Norway after 1900, but there are a few, and they are located under the areas/parish they lived.

So if you can provide us with information about the area they lived, there might be some help...

Have you located them in the Norwegian 1900-census?

There are 25 people by the name of Hans Pedersen born 1818-1822 in the census.

Yes i had help from people in ostfold and they tracked them in the 1865 census when they lived in Onso, although they were born in Fredrikshald(Haldane),im Scottish and we thought they were from Fredrikstad, but they moved around and maybe that is where they finished up,i found them also in the 1900 census.

Hi,
we could help if you can provide us with a link to the 1900-census. Which county, city etc, did you find them in census-1900?

I did a quick search through the 1900-census, but could not find anyone by the name of Hans Pedersen born around 1820, and married to Karoline. No even with alternate spellings...

Hi,
you're right: Here they are in the 1900 census: click here

They're living on the Græsvik farm in Onsø.
They area is now under Fredrikstad municipality, Østfold county.

As far as I can see, there is no deathrecords for the Fredrikstad area available online.

The LDS library catalog indicates that they have parish church records (would include entries for deaths/burials) for Onsøy up through about 1923 or 1926. These records are copied to microfilm which you can order and review at any of their Family History Centers.

Hi,
Almost all Norwegian churchbooks (from Onsøy or other parishes) year 1700-1900 are available at both LDS and norwegian libraries on microfilm/microfiche, but I believe hp was looking for a searchable online site.

Searching through those microfilms are very time-consuming, but it looks to be the only possibility if you want to do the research yourself.

What you could do it to post an inquiry on the norwegian debate forum WebDebatt. It's in norwegian, but you can write in english...
Here is how to do it:

1) Click on "Legg inn nytt tema"
2) Tittel: title (heading)
3) Forfattar: author (your name)
4) Heimstad: hometown
5) E-post: email-address (must be correct)
6) Innlegg: your question...
7) Stikkord: cue words for your topic

Post your question there, and include the link to the 1900 census. Maybe someone can do a look-up for you...?
