Hi Jane Strom and Kvam are most likely the names of the farms your ancestors lived on in Norway. There are several in the 1865 census for Norway at the Digitalarkivet. It would help to know Johannes' patronym (read the article on the main page about Norwegian names). I did find Johannes in the US 1900 census and it shows he emigrated in 1868, not a great year for searching but there are some passenger records at the Digitialarkivet for that year. He was born July 1838 and Anne looks like Feb. 1838. There is an Eric and Eli Kvam in the 1900 census that could be Christina's parents. They have a son, Andrew and daughter (can't make out her name) living with them. They emigrated in 1882. Minnesota has a death certificate search on line Click Here Getting copies of death certificates could provide the names of parents. Carla
There is an Erik Kvam family also in Minnesota Swift Co. Six Mile Grove in 1900. Erik is married to 'Elie' (probably Eli in Norway). Erik was born Aug 1847 and lists that he came to the US in 1882. 'Elie' (also born 1847?) is listed as the mother of 12 children - 5 surviving, they have been married for 28 years.
