my g.grandfather, HENRY JOHNSON is listed in 1910 census as immigrating to US in 1877 at age 29. he lived on the big island of hawaii as a roadworker overseer, listed birthplace as norway. desperately trying to link him from hawaii to norway. can anyone tell me what ships he might have taken to get to hawaii? where can i start 'finding' him??? thanks in advance!

You might be able to locate him in the emigrants registers at the Digitalarkivet
He probably won't be listed as Henry which is probably an Americanization of his Norwegian name. When searching on his last name use begins with and probably only Jo since he could be listed as Jonsen Johannesen Johns. etc. Since you have his age and year of emigration that should help narrow it down. Just don't trust the info on the census as being 100% accurate.
