Hi folks...

I am looking for info on Halvor Lien, who eventually settled in Idaho. His wife's name allegedly was Lydia Ovre (Uvrie?).

Their daughter Mary (Maurine, Marine) is my GGGM.

Halvor was born in Oppdal, Sor-Trondelag, Norway in either 1839 or 1843.

I appreciate any help here... I am just starting.

Thank you all.

Here is your Halvor Lien in the 1865 cencus - listed as Halvor Nilsen son on the farm StorLI with his parents and two sisters:

I can't see anybody else could be fitting, so it's probably the right guy. (Storli: An original farm Li was at some time in history splitted in a large ("stor") and a small part. The big Li is "The Li" = LiEN in Norwegian...
