I have a great great grandfather that was born on may 24, 1852 in Njordford, Norway. How do I find information on obtaining a birth certificate?

Hi Norway did not have "birth certificates" then. All births, marriages, deathes etc were recorded in the Kyrkjebøker - Church records. The LDS has films of many of the church records you can rent and also a lot of records on line.
The Digitalarkivet also has some records on line
