While speaking with my father, I found out his father has a will from Norway I guess they got back in 1974.

It is entirely in Norwegian (for which I completely cannot read write or understand)

My father said his Father (Oscar ) and his uncle Johnny, Hans and another one came from Nowray in the 1930's-1940's by way of Canada (to avoid US emmigration issues). They used the name "Hoff" from a family farm they or their parents or relatives OWNED in Norway.

He said that their given names were pronouced "Grey-kor-fer-son OR greggor-Fur-son, but the was NOT they way it was truly spelled. He just knows for sure it was with a "G"

He did say that his father (my dad's Father) used to say they were in some way related to some King Olaf who was now Deceased (this was in the 50's and 60's he was saying this "Dead King Olaf"). My father said he was told by his father that my father was entitled to some sort of "ducal" titled (obviously in nmae only as the monarchy was in a decision making sense, done away with) should he decide to go live in Norway.

My dad's grand parents MAY OF BEEN named Karl and Hilde G****** (something). Anyone have a clue what my dad might be talking about ('cause I am not sure he does)????

He is going to send me the wil so I am definitely going to have to find someone to translate it for me also

Thanks for any ideas or help you can provide

Perhaps you can expand the basic identifying information in your posting and get more results - your father (name and birth year not supplied) was the son of Oscar Greg????son Hoff? (birth year not supplied) who might be the son of Karl and Hilde Gre???? (birth years not supplied).
Oscar had brothers named 'Johnny' and Hans.
What year was Oscar born? Could we expect to find him in the 1900 Norwegian census?

A given name = first name. Surname = last name.
