Anders Olesen Helland (B: April 21, 1877), Vestnes, Norway. Came to Kathryn, North Dakota, USA about 1900 and returned to Vestnes about 1908. He left Vestnes and has not been heard of since by his family.
His parents were Marit Salthammer (B: 1839) and Ole Salthammer Helland (B: 1832). He had brothers, Kristoffer and Hans and sisters, Marit, Hilmara, Olianna, and Anna.
I am Kristoffer Helland's grandson in Canada. |

And...?
Is there a question here?
He emigrated from Ålesund, Møre & Romsdal on June 11th, 1896: click here Andreas O. Helland, male, 19 yrs, homeplace: Vestnæs, worker, destination: Dakota
It's probably his brother Hans O. Helland who is listed above him. He emigrated to Dakota 5 years earlier click here, so the trip in 1896 was to visit family and bring his brother over also...

Ellis Island have a record of one "Andrew Helland", arriving May 21st, 1913 on the ship "The Olympic", sailing from Southampton, England.
That person was naturalized in Sioux Falls, SD on (14 Oct?) 1899, and is 36 years old, which fits with your data. The manifest also states that he is married.
I believe his address reads Minneapolis, MN, but it could be that I'm readning the wrong line... Manifest
