Hello
I am looking for relatives after Kittil and his family. They arrived New Orleans in 1846 on Anacona. They left for Illinois and after that we don`t know anything.
Hope that someone can help.

They arrived in New Orleans on November 3, 1846 from La Havre, lots of related names:

Ole Kittelgen, 32; Sengen Kittelgen, 68;Kettel Knudsen, 5
Knud Knudsen, 9; Salve Knudsen, 43; Signe Knudsen, 42
Sigrid Knudsen, 7; Gunder Knudssen, 42

Kettel Knudssen, 39; Kittel Knudssen, 3; Knut Knudssen, 5
Segne Knudssen, 8

The names as it is writin in norwegian is: Kjetil Knutson N.Snarteland born 1807, is wife Gunhild Kjetilsdtr Taraldlien 1804, there children: Signe born 1833, Gunhild 1836, knut 1839, Kjetil 1842. I know they arrived New orleans with the people Reiersen from Agder in Norway. They went too Chicago and there they dissapeer. Hope that someone has an idea where too look.
