My great grandfather, Erik Danielsen left Norway 2 May 1861.
He was born 15 November 1831 and baptized at Norderhov.
His wife Christi and 3 children accompanied him. I am
seeking to find the ship he may have sailed on and its
departure and arrival ports.

You've probably noticed that there are few if any Norwegian records of emigration departures before the mid-1860s. You might have to find his arrival record in the United Kingdom instead.

In the Index of Departures on this site for 1861, there are ships listed that had regular runs from Christiania to Hull, England.

Norderhov is in Buskerud flyke, near Oslo and Drammen. Have you reviewed the Norderhov church records? The Utflyttede (moving out register) has been microfilmed by LDS and is available for rental at a local Family History Center. The film that covers 1861 is #278205.
