My neighbor Gil Lea is looking for his Norwegian ancestry. I think his ancestors lived in or near Kongsburg, and that their name might have been something like "Grondlie" of "Grundlie."

Consider "Grønlie" farms in Buskerud - 1865 lists them in Flesberg district - but that is quite close to Kongsberg. If you take the spelling a little but further in variation you are likely to find more possibilities.
