Trying to locate descendants of Syver Olsen who came from Oisjofoss near Aurskog east of oslo Norway via steamship "Gange Rolf" to Tremplau, La Crosse Wisconsin 23.5.1872. Wife believed to be Hermanna Halversen, Children 7 or 9 born in Strum Wisconsin. Any advice truly appreciated.

There was a Sever Olson living in Hale, Trempeleau County, Wi from at least 1880-1930 when he was 80 on the 1930 US census. However his wife was Minnie. Do the names Mathilda, or Mary Mathilda, Hilda, Mary, Albert, Ole, Hannah? Maybe Minnie is derived from Hermana - or it's not the same person. The US census says he emigrated in 1872 and he was b. abt. 1850 or so.

Hale is about 20 miles from Strum.
