I would like to have information as to the Ship AARO" when it departed inMarch of 1910 from Oslo and went to America; where did the ship make port in America or was it in Canada. How long was the voyage?
Look on the Index of Departures on this site. The Aaro was a "feeder ship" taking emigrants to Hull, England. In Hull they took a train to Liverpool or Glascow to board their transatlantic ship. They did not got to America or Canada on the Aaro.
They would have been on a steamship, a 7-9 day voyage. There is much information on this site about all of this.
If they arrived at the Port of New York, they should be listed on the Ellis Island website which is a database of the Federal Customs Passenger Manifests:
This site includes all passengers that arrived at the Port of New York, not just the third class passengers who were the only ones processed for immigration at the Ellis Island Immigration Station.
The database also includes passengers who did not disembark but traveled on the other ports such as Boston & Baltimore. Passenger manifests were surrendered to the Federal Customs officials at the first port of entry into the United States.
There is also a picture of the Aaro on Norway Heritage.
