Hello,

I was curious to know if anyone had any information on my ancestors. My great great great grandfather and grandmother were married in the Viger church at Adalen, Norway (1816)which was built in 1701 (Helge Gelgeson b. 1795). My great great great great great grandmother (Christj Ironsdatter) was also christened there on 1/23/1768. My Great great Grandmother is Elise Helgeson (5/6/1864-8/30/1951) She was born in Fosholm, Norway and married my great great grandfather, John Guttormson in 1883. I have enough information to tell me that the Helgeson family had 12 children: Anne Christine Helgeson (4/11/1856 - 1939) born in Hoff, Norway; Inanda Amalia Helgeson (1/11/1858-10/ / 1927) born in Hoff, Norway; Helga Helgeson (11/5/1859-1941) born in Hoff Norway; Helge Helgeson Lee (1/5/1862-1928) born in Hoff, Solor, Norway; Elise Helgeson ; Julius Helgeson (10/5/1866- / 19/1952) born in Brandvold, Norway; Sefrine Albertine Helgeson (3/22/1869-6/28/1952) born in Brandvold, Norway; Arne Helgeson (1/30/1871-4/7/1964) born in Brandvold; Haakon Helgeson (5/14/1873-6/7/1924) born in Brandvold, Norway; Clara Otelia Helgeson (8/24/1875-8/29/1946) born in Brandvold, Norway; Elvine Olava Helgeson (9/26/1877-8/12/1969) born in Brandvold, Norway; Tolvine Helgeson (3/9/1979-9/26/1960) born in Brandvold, Norway. I do have some ancestors who were born in 1677 as well.

I do not have much information on when my ancestors migrated, or if I have any relatives that are still living in Norway. Is the Vigor church still standing? If you could give me any information about my ancestors, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone who has any information about my family can email me on:
jody_pederson@hotmail.com.

Regards,

Jody
