I have traced my ancestory back to a Per/Peder Laren/Larsen Floan b: 1700 in the Mære gard historie, for Skatval, Nord-Trondelag.
Can anyone tell me if Floan is a farm? or would it have some other meaning?
Thanks |

Fløan Østre, #55, is a farm in Skatval. Recommend you contact the Skatval Historical Society. The site is all in Norwegian but you can send them an email. They have recently published farm history books, I have Book 1 but it only goes up to #39. Believe #55 would be in the second book. They could probably help you get in touch with relatives.
www.tronderlag.org - has links to the various historical societies in the area. |

Thanks Jo Anne,
You helped me find some of my previous ifo as well.
I am a recent member of Tronderlag of America, it was their genealogist who did the lookup for me.
The website for the Skatval Historical Society dosen't seem to be working anymore, would anybody know why? |
