My great grandfather Mathias Rusten, married to Marie Rusten, left to canada somewhere around 1920's. Lived in oslo on rusten farm. Marie was born in 1904 and died in 1997. I dont know his date of birth but he died in 1983, Emigrated to Canada, to British Columbia. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hello! This is a great surprise. I know virtually nothing past my grandfather, whose real name i dont exactly know because he goes by the nickname "Deke". I know it's Egel Kore Rusten, or to that effect for the spelling of first and middle name. My Nana, Marie, is the only great-grandparent I knew. The name Marit came up a lot alongside Mathias but i never could see a last name for the mathias entry. What information do u have? I am doing a family tree, but also, I have a great interest in actually knowing where i came from and if there's anything really interesting in my family.

if you'd like we could exchange email addresses for ease of correspondance.

Hello,

I'm not sure on when they were married, I know there were kids, Art (the name i knew him by), Solveig, and my grandfather Egel. (i dont know if the latter is correct spelling.)

but here is how the 2 records compare:

- 236366 Oslo 1929 Septbr 12 1309 Marie Hansen Rusten f

- 230093 Oslo 1927 0904 Mathias Rusten m

if they went different years then it's pheasable.

Hello again.
Here is my mail addresse: maritrus@online.no
In 1974, my grandfather and I went to visit Mathias and Marie, Carl and Solveig ( I was 16 years old a that time). Therefore I am curious about my "family" in Canada.
