my father was to leave on this ship july 1924 but she caught on fire and they had to take another. how do i find THAT ship? THEIR NAMES WERE ANDERS,ALLIE& HELGE ANDERSEN for larvik&ostre halsen and the tjollin church. thank you

It is a good chance that you will find him on the passenger list for the Stavangerfjord, leaving from Kristiania (Oslo) on August 15th. If not, you will just have to try passenger lists for different ship arriving in the nearest weeks after the scheduled departure.

I can give you correct informations to your question. On the departure of "Bergensfjord" on July 26, 1924, there is a family with the names Anders, Allie and Helge Andersen from Larvik/østre Halsen, checked in on cabin class. Due to the fire shortly after leaving port, they were offered to sail on the "Stavangerfjord" leaving Oslo on August 15,1924. On the passengerlist on this sailing, they are all three and they sailed on 2nd class. They arrived in New York on August 25,1924.
